Byron Collie, the CEO/Co-Founder of Raven, brings over 30 years of strategic and operational leadership and experience on technology risk, cybersecurity, incident and crisis response, resilience and risk expertise and collaboration to our engagements. Before founding Raven, Byron served as an Executive Director and global coverage leader in the Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk group at JP Morgan Chase where he developed and implemented frameworks and programs for oversight of resilience, technology and security risks. He is a Senior Advisor to several industry leading consulting and technology vendors, a Fellow of the Cybersecurity and Technology Council of the National Security Institute (NSI) at George Mason University, and member of the New York Cyber Task Force of the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA).
Prior to joining JP Morgan Chase Byron spent over 16 years at Goldman Sachs where he was a Technology Fellow and Global Head of Cybersecurity and Information Risk Management in Operational Risk. From 2015 to 2018 Mr. Collie served as a member of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Advisory Committee (HSSTAC), working with a world-renowned team of academic, industry, and government colleagues to explore and develop innovative and practical strategies and technologies to defend the U.S. Homeland. Prior to his private sector career in the United States, Mr. Collie had a long career as a senior federal agent with the Australian Federal Police focused intelligence, investigations, and commissioned reserve officer and then senior civilian with the Royal Australian Air Force.
